About Me

William Nokrek has recently assumed the role of International President of the International Movement of Catholic Students (IMCS) Pax Romana. His journey with IMCS Pax Romana includes significant contributions as the Asia Pacific Coordinator, where he demonstrated a deep commitment to empowering young people at various levels. His efforts have been pivotal across grassroots, national, and regional spheres, with a strong focus on advocating for indigenous peoples' rights, human rights, environmental justice, and sustainable development.

He played a key role in founding the "International Youth Training Centre (IYTC) of IMCS" in Chiangmai, Thailand. This center is designed to create a supportive environment that encourages the capacity building and empowerment of students, promoting social transformation.

Before stepping into his current prestigious role, William Nokrek was the President of the Bangladesh Indigenous Students Action Forum (BISAF) from 2017 to 2019, representing the student wing of the Bangladesh Indigenous Peoples Forum (BIPF) and advancing the rights of indigenous peoples. He also served two terms as President of the Bangladesh Catholic Students Movement (BCSM) from 2015 to 2019, where he significantly influenced the development and expansion of this movement.
